Movie “City of Angles”
Gosh its been long since I have written. =/
I have just watched this INCREDIBLE movie called “City of Angles”. If you have ever watched it, you can probably guess how much I have cried!!
It basically talks about this group of angles whose mission is to take humans who died to heaven. The story really starts when this angle falls in love with a human, and as you may have guessed, their love is impossible. If you are going to watch the movie I will not give it away, although I would like to talk briefly about the topics it covers.
There is a part when the “male angle” (the one who fell in love) begins to wonder how it feels when someone touches you, how food tastes, what is hunger and etc, since as an angle you do not feels these things. All of these questions that come up to his head, are answered by the human experiences of the lady he loves. What really makes all of this magical is the fact that as he asks her how warmth feels (for example), she stops to think of how she can describe it, and with that she starts to realize how these small sensations are enjoyable, and how they make life not only bearable but also beautiful. I may be sounding confusing, since this is a little philosophical, so I will be relying on Alvy’s judgment and feedback about the post. ;D
With all of the problems we face today, (violence, prejudice, corruption…) it is really hard for us to stop and take pleasure in all of these small details that make up our day. We rarely even recognize them. A vivid example of it is when it starts to rain. Do we ever enjoy the rain drops falling on our face? Do we ever take the time to appreciate this divine gift nature sent us, or are we so worried about our hair or getting wet? Maybe something to consider next time we hear a thunder. =P
To close up the post, a very interesting fact that made me relate to the movie was that the lady (main character) was a doctor, and she expressed all of her fears regarding having a person’s life your hands. This is something I constantly think of, considering I want to be a doctor, and this detail just added up to my huge appreciation for the movie. 100% recommend it.

I watched that movie a year or two ago I think. I loved it and it’s a great movie althought it is quite sad.
